Today on #MayorMediaMondays we get a couple of cool concept style interviews via complex & some dope new music from @Slimthugga. They were dope to me so I think you'll enjoy... Sneaker shopping w/ Shane O' MacThe Titan of #TuesdayNightSneakerWatch Shane McMahon stops by flight club to talk kicks and score a few additions to his collection. Joe Budden on "Hot Ones"Another concept style interview piece from complex, this time featuring Joe Budden fielding questions on various topics while sampling wings w/ increasingly hotter sauces. My first time watching the series and asides from the "left-field" premise it's a pretty interesting and entertaining video. Budden shows a lot of personality while coming off relaxed and natural which is a cool abnormality in today's hip-hop media game. New music from Slim ThugHogg Life Vol.4 "American King" the new release from Houston Underground Legend Slim Thug has what may be one of the year's best songs as its lead single. Check Out "Peaceful". you stay Classy internet, i'm suave Burgandy! - @Suave4mayor Today starts w/ an unfortunately all too familiar narrative in the sports world...an athlete caught on the wrong end of a story involving domestic violence. This time it's Dallas Cowboy's Rookie RB Ezekiel Elliott...Elliott has come forward and proclaimed his innocence. Elliott's Father has issued a public statement.
Its official, this is the start of the "Netflix and Chill" generation. While that usually means one specific activity in internet and urban culture terms, in the grand scheme of things it also means the preferred methods of tv entertainment have vastly changed from "Dinner & a Movie" days. More and more people have grown tired of the lack of selection provided by cable and satellite providers or quite frankly are too busy in their "pursuit of happiness" to wait around for their favorite show's original air time-slot. This is an on-demand society that craves on-demsnd content. Me and my brain trust of learn-ed doctors have been looking to crack the code of what it would take for us to jump completely off the grid of cable and satellite providers in favor of a stream heavy content diet. I think Ive finally been successful at finding our exit from the matrix, which entails sports content, binge watching lengthy series, indulging new show content, while still keeping in touch with the part of the world we care to involve our mind in. If you read this list and find places of improvement please feel free to contribute.
I've had my moments of questioning the usefulness of Netflx in the past but for some reason I've never pulled the trigger on canceling the subscription. For less than $10 bucks I've got pretty decent HD content and now the original content (House of Cards, Daredevil, Narcos, etc) has made it imperative that I keep it around. Price: $8.65 Monthly Subscription. 2. HuluPerfect for those who aren't handcuffed by television schedules and enjoy watching content at their own pace. The base version of Hulu allows users to watch new episodes of network tv shows a day after network air. Hulu also included select movies and original content ala Netflix while only delivering 3 min of add for every 10 min or so of programing, a welcomed change of pace from regular television especially while streaming HD content. Price: $7.99 Monthly Subscription 3. Sling TVThis is the newest addition to my stream-life library but nonetheless it has an important place. Channels like ESPN, ESPN 2, and TNT are paramount for my sports/highlights fix and Sling TV gives me access to them all. Sling also has add on options for extra spots, kids, news, and premium movie channel content. This is the part of streaming that can get tough, the urge to watch live television (even if it is just syndicated shows). Sling makes it somewhat easier to ditch the cable provider. Its all the conveience w/ none of the hassle. No contract, No installation, No waiting on a repair tech to show up. Price: $20 Monthly Subscription (add-ons range from $5-$15 each package). 4. WWE NetworkThis is more of a niche addition, I'm an avid pro wrestling watcher and I can literally spend an entire day just streaming content from this one source. There are still a few things I'd like to see added but it's merely from a content junkie standpoint as good of an on demand service as there is in streaming. Price: $9.99 Monthly Subscription 5. Kodiif you're going to be out here in these Internet streaming streets and plan to be prosperous it all starts here...if you're a content savage this could be a stand alone app situation for you. If your firestick, roku, etc doesn't have this installed...you're losing. Price: Free 99 + a little effort or a tech plug.
