My father gave me the most valuable gift one man can give, he taught me how to be a man. Not with lectures, books, or a how-to guide but by example. I saw my father work, pray, build, create, love, laugh, cry, and be human. He cared with a genuine heart, treated/raised many as his own even though he only paternally birthed one. I am forever grateful for the lessons I absorbed by having a real man as my father. My father watched me play football, drove around listening to my songs, showed me style, instilled pride in self as well as in my possessions, taught me the importance of being well groomed and kept, and truthfully is the reason I am so connected to music. He was a music collector and connoisseur but nowhere close to an art snob. A steady rock, still water that ran as deep as the ocean. I get my cool from the old man, he was my first superhero. I love you dad! Rest well...
