148 to 82 (a 66 point margin) is a blowout in any sport...right?! For example, the Chicago Bulls just beat the Milawlkee Bucks in a round one game 7 of the Eastern Confrence playoffs by the score of 120-66 (a 54 point margin). The Associated Press refered to that performance as a "knockout blow" (http://www.nba.com/games/20150430/CHIMIL/gameinfo.html). So I'd presume it's safe to say what happend in Las Vegas at the MGM occupies the same space...right?! Now while you mull that sports math over let's address the other elephant in the room. I've seen quite a few people, celebrity and otherwise take to social media to call the May 2nd entertainment spectacle #Underwhelming. The most circulated quote from this vocal segment of the population being "I waited 5 years for this?". If you're one of the many who feel that way then the answer to your question is YES! (Daniel Bryan Tone). It has taken you FIVE complete years to see what each and every Floyd Mayweather fight including last night's has made perfectly clear. "Money May" is a superior BOXER/Promoter, not a street fighter. Many people tuned in, caught flights, booked hotels, bought tickets, and put money on the table to see a fight between two people who were perceived to not like each other, and desire to inflict harm upon one another. There enlies the problem...One man came to fight (if that's what you call Pacquiao's approach) and one man came to get paid to box. Angry business doesn't make money, and every Mayweather event (notice I didn't say fight) is a business decision, set in motion to turn a profit .If an even more barbaric exhibition is what you were looking for the you've waited five years to do what most of the 18-34 male demographic did long ago...change the channel to UFC. The truth hurts doesn't it? Like 148 left jabs and overhand rights. #PoliticalStatus Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
